Match Meet & Greet
Come meet matches of all lengths and strengths! Whether you feel you have the perfect match with ideas to share, or if you need activity suggestions or help problem-solving, this is for you! We will begin as a group with free pizza and ice breakers and than split up Bigs and Littles for separate discussions.

Volunteer Appreciation
Please join us for our Annual Volunteer Appreciation event so we can thank you for helping children Dream, Empower and Achieve success!

This is a social event so feel free to mingle, enjoy the music by Billy Davis on saxophone and enjoy light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note this event is for adults only! You are welcome to bring an adult guest. RSVP to your Match Support Specialist by Friday, April 27th.
Match Anniversary Party
If you are celebrating a May match anniversary, please join us:
Tuesday, May 15th from 6:30-7:30pm

“Make your own Sundae” night!
The celebration is held at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office. We provide the ice cream and basic toppings, but feel free to bring your favorite topping to share! RSVP to your Match Support Specialist by Monday, May 14th.
Memorial Day Door Decorating
Matches are invited to create door decorations for Memorial Day!
Tuesday, May 22nd from 6:15-8:00pm
Ridgeview Assisted Living Center
The decorations will be hung on the resident’s doors at the center, and matches will have the opportunity to deliver decorations to the doors of residents who do not attend the event. Some materials will be provided, but if you can, please bring your own scissors, tape, and additional supplies you'd like to work with.

We often receive tickets to community events which are given to our matches! In the past we’ve received tickets for:

• Kernels Baseball
• Races
• Roughriders Hockey
• Rollergirls Roller Derby

A health program endorsed by local healthcare providers!
This walking program prescribes a plan of setting goals and logging steps to gradually increase activity for a healthier lifestyle. Participants are encouraged to add variety to their daily walks by exploring local trails.
Visit Rx For Fitness for more information. Big Brothers Big Sisters is encouraging matches to get involved by providing RX for Fitness Kits through Fitness Buddies, to all Bigs and Littles who participate together.

Matches have an opportunity to participate in programs from the Cedar Rapids Recreation Department free of charge (does not apply to day camp programs).

Free community events
Through the generous donations of our supporters, Big Brothers Big Sisters occasionally receives tickets to area sporting, theatre, musical and other types of events.
