Three Big Brothers Honored for Volunteer Service
(CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa)— Big Brothers Big Sisters is thrilled to announce that three of our volunteer Bigs have been chosen to receive the Corridor Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 award! This recognition is for outstanding young professionals that are making a positive difference in our community, both as a professional and volunteer. We are excited to recognize Pastor Craig Brown, Christophe Trappe and Scott Kallemeyn, who will be honored at a recognition dinner on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

Most children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters are being raised in single-parent and low-income families or households where a parent is incarcerated. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”). Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks to facilitate the success of children living in our community by providing support to help children grow as individuals and by encouraging educational and extra-curricular activities.
